The City of Mellen posted this latest schedule today on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cityofmellen/ along with the following:
“Just 10 Days Until the Kickoff of Mellen’s 4th of July Celebration Weekend! Attached is the most up to date schedule of events as we prepare to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence. A few reminders:
We encourage participants to sign up in advance for:
• Volleyball Tournament – 715-274-9283
• Cornhole Tournament – 715-292-1509
• Annual Parade – 715-292-1509
A Safety Reminder – We’re excited to see increased traffic and more visitors enjoying Mellen lately, but we’ve also noticed an increase in speeding throughout town. As we head into a busy holiday weekend, we ask everyone to do their part and SLOW DOWN.
Please:
• Use extra caution when driving through town
• Watch for pedestrians, especially in our Main Street and event areas
• Be extra cautious when pulling out of intersections
• Help keep our residents, visitors, and families safe
If you live in town or have friends and family you can park with, please consider doing so to help free up parking in some of our busiest areas throughout the weekend. Thank you for helping make this a safe and memorable celebration for everyone. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
