Join the Mellen Beautification Committee for a COOKOUT FUNDRAISER
When: Thursday, August 13th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Where: Across from City Hall next to Little Town Coffee

This year as always there will be backpacks at both the Northern State Bank and the Superior Choice Credit Union. The backpacks for grades Pre-K thru 5th grade will be marked and a list available as to what items are needed in each of them. If you purchase any items, place them in the appropriate backpack. Monetary donations are also accepted. Collected money will be used to purchase whatever is needed to finish filling the backpacks. This collection is sponsored by Rich and Carol Becker of Mellen who have been packing the backpacks since 2009!
For the first time ever, Ashland County Police department’s annual National Night Out will be hosted in Mellen at Memorial Field behind the Mellen Public School at 420 S. Main Street Mellen WI 54546 on August 4th, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Free food, games, face painting, ice cream, foam party, and obstacle course!

Plan to shop at the Mellen Flea & Farmers Market on Saturday mornings (July 25th, August 1st, 8th, & 15th) from 9:00 am till noon.
Kids, looking for something to do? Plan to attend the Mellen Rod and Gun Club’s Annual Kids Fishing Contest on Saturday, July 18 from Noon to 3:00 p.m. on Lake Galilee.
