Here the Devil's Creek meets the Bad River. State Highway 13 meets Highway 77. Sound a little foreboding? Really a nicer place would be hard to find. Go camping, rent a cabin, hike the North Country Trail. Mellen is a designated Trail City. The City of Mellen is both ATV and snowmobile friendly. Cross country ski or snowshoe this beautiful Penokee Range. Fishing or hunting can be another way to enjoy the surroundings. There are legendary sized whitetails in them thar hills.

Pack the Backpacks--Donations Needed!
This year as always there will be backpacks at both the Northern State Bank and the Superior Choice Credit Union. The backpacks for grades Pre-K thru 5th grade will be marked and a list available as to what items are needed in each of them. If you purchase any items, place them in the appropriate backpack. Monetary donations are also accepted. Collected money will be used to purchase whatever is needed to finish filling the backpacks.
