Flanked by Mount Whittlesey on the East and Ren Vought's Bluff on the West, and surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest, Mellen and environs are a natural beauty experience waiting to happen. One of the gems of the State Park System, Copper Falls State Park, is just 5 minutes from Mellen, fast becoming one of the most popular parks in the state. A lot of good things are happening there. Go camping, rent a cabin, hike the North Country Trail. Mellen is a designated Trail City. The City of Mellen is both ATV and snowmobile friendly. Cross country ski or snowshoe this beautiful Penokee Range. Fishing or hunting can be another way to enjoy the surroundings. There are legendary sized whitetails in them thar hills.

The BRICK food pantry in Mellen is always in need of donations. Donations can be made at the following locations or you can contact Bill Polencheck at 715-274-6221. The pantry is open the third Thursday of each month from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
