Nestled at these crossroads is the gateway to Northern Wisconsin's pristine paradise. The bustling City of Mellen is situated perfectly to explore and enjoy four season outdoor adventures. Flanked by Mount Whittlesey on the East and Ren Vought's Bluff on the West, and surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest, Mellen and environs are a natural beauty experience waiting to happen. One of the gems of the State Park System, Copper Falls State Park, is just 5 minutes from Mellen, fast becoming one of the most popular parks in the state. A lot of good things are happening there. Go camping, rent a cabin, hike the North Country Trail. Mellen is a designated Trail City. The City of Mellen is both ATV and snowmobile friendly. Cross country ski or snowshoe this beautiful Penokee Range. Fishing or hunting can be another way to enjoy the surroundings. There are legendary sized whitetails in them thar hills.

The City's Facebook post reads: "YES! Warmer days are ahead… and so is the 4th of July! Here is the tentative release of the 4th of July schedule! Please note this is still early, but we wanted to get it out as we know many people like to plan time off in advance. This schedule is subject to change at any time, and YES more events will be added as we are still finalizing a few items! We will share updates monthly through May and then move to weekly updates in June. For the most up-to-date information, please follow the City of Mellen Facebook page.
