CHEQUAMEGON HOME FURNISHINGS

Chequamegon Home Furnishings is your go to choice for all of your furniture and mattress needs. They have the area’s largest selection of in stock mattresses, sectionals, sofas, loveseats, recliners, bedroom and dining room sets. Free financing is available!!

MIDLAND SERVICES

Midland Services is a gas station and convenience store in Mellen located on the corner of Highway 13 and County Highway GG. Hungry for hot food? They sell some hot foods along with the usual items you would find at a convenience store. They also sell liquor, fishing bait, and have an ATM.

NORTHLAND FOODS/HARDWARE HANK

The Northland Foods/Hardware Hank store is Mellen’s local gem. It’s name leads you to believe that it is just a grocery and a hardware store but it is much much more. They sell liquor, souvenirs, gas, Wisconsin DNR licenses, fishing bait, and ammunition. They carry local bakery items, unique food items, and cheese curds. They slice deli meat to order and even make cheese trays. Need to wash your car? Their car wash is open late spring through early fall. Need an ATM, they have one of those too.

R J WOODWORKING

R J Woodworking makes unique wooden bowls. They carve the bowls out of local wood such as maple, cherry, birch, ironwood, etc. Different woods produce different colors, weights and patterns. These bowls are one of a kind.

WHOLLY THREADS LTD

Mellen Thrift Shop/Wholly Threads is a thrift store located on Bennett Avenue in Mellen. They take donations of clothing, housewares, toys, books, etc. and resell those items at a very reduced rate. Wholly Threads is a nonprofit organization formed in 1996 by representation from local area churches. Check out Thrift Store News in the local weekly paper, the Mellen Weekly-Record, to find out what is happening at the thrift store. Stop in and see what they have for sale and say hi to the volunteers. We do not accept credit or debit cards. Cash or check only!
