Mellen Public School
The School District of Mellen
A Small School, Creating Big Futures.
Mission Statement
Work collaboratively in a respectful, responsible, safe, and ready environment to create an education where all students will succeed.
Vision Statement
To thrive as a public school to promote education, embrace community involvement and maximize available resources.
Mellen Elementary School serves 120 students PreK-5.
As a small school district, it is our goal to provide every student with an individualized educational plan. We feel it is important for each child to have a meaningful relationship with the adults and other students in the district. When teachers know students by name, it fosters a culture of belonging, accountability, and support. Our small size allows us the opportunity to identify and support struggling learners.
Mellen School District provides many opportunities for our students and families.
SAGE (Student Achievement Guarantee in Education) provides reduced student-teacher ratio, allowing more one-on-one interaction in grades K-3.
Title I and Learning Disability support.
Breakfast program
After-school program offering interventions and enrichments for all students Grades Pre-K
Mellen MS/HS serves approximately 140 students grades 6 – 12.
Here at Mellen Middle/High School we are dedicated to educating each and every student. Our District’s mission statement is to “Work collaboratively in a respectful, responsible, safe, and ready environment to create an education where all students will succeed.” Our teachers and staff work together, finding ways to reach our students.
