Here the Devil’s Creek meets the Bad River. State HWY 13 meets HWY 77. Sound a little foreboding? Really a nicer place would be hard to find. Nestled at these crossroads is the gateway to Northern Wisconsin’s pristine paradise. The bustling City of Mellen is situated perfectly to explore and enjoy four season outdoor adventures. Flanked by Mount Whittlesey on the East and Wren Vought’s Bluff on the West, and surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest, Mellen and environs are a natural beauty experience waiting to happen. One of the gems of the State Park System, Copper Falls State Park, is just 5 minutes from Mellen. Fast becoming one of the most popular parks in the state. A lot of good things are happening there. Go camping , rent a cabin, hike the North Country Trail. Mellen is a designated Trail City. The City of Mellen is both ATV and snowmobile friendly. Cross Country Ski, or snowshoe this beautiful Penokee Range. Fishing or hunting can be another way to enjoy the surroundings. There are legendary sized white tails in “them thar hills”.
