As we welcome the changing season and prepare for the busy months ahead, we invite you to join us for a hands-on morning of service and camaraderie at the park.
What: Spring Cleaning at the Maintenance Garages
When: Saturday, March 28th from 9 am to Noon
Who: Everyone is welcome to help tidy up the CFSP staff work areas before the season begins.
Lunch: Soup will be served at 12:15 p.m.
Tasks will include—but are not limited to—organizing tools, moving equipment, sweeping floors, wiping counters, and cleaning storage cabinets. Please be prepared to get a little dirty as we work together to support the park we all cherish.
This work day also offers a special opportunity to recognize and celebrate the leadership of our park ranger, James Enigl, who will be guiding us during the event.
James was recently honored with two well-deserved awards recognizing his commitment, expertise, and care for Copper Falls State Park. While these honors highlight his exceptional contributions, James himself is quick to redirect the spotlight. In his own humble way, he reminds us that the true strength of the park lies not in any one individual, but in the collective effort of many—staff, volunteers, and community members—working together in shared stewardship.
His words are a powerful reflection of what the Friends group represents. Every swept floor, every organized tool, every hour given is part of something larger: the ongoing care and preservation of a place that brings beauty, peace, and connection to so many.
We hope you will join us—not only to lend a hand—but to be part of this spirit of teamwork that sustains Copper Falls State Park.
