NOTE: The Candlelight Hike will take place on the Red Granite Trail. Meet at the Red Granite Trailhead!!!

Red Granite Trailhead
Seek out the mysteries of the night as you walk along a one-mile stretch of trail where over 300 candle luminaries light the path. The festivities will include a traditional campfire fun and marshmallow roasting. If you wish to get into the holiday spirit, you may come dressed as a woodland animal, pumpkin, ghost, witch or another fun character. This a fun, family-friendly activity and open to all ages.Â
Friends of Copper Falls State Park will offer refreshments for sale, including chili, hot dogs, hot cocoa and cider, and a variety of sweet treats.Â
As dark descends along the candlelit trail, be courteous to others whose eyes are acclimated to night vision. If you must bring a light, use one equipped with a red light mode. Using a white light (flashlight and cellphone) is strongly discouraged because it reduces night vision for others nearby.
For Candlelight Walk parking, follow signs for Loon Lake beach & Red Granite Falls trail. It just beyond the park’s entry. All programs are free and open to the public; vehicle passes are required and available at the main entry station.*
