Ashland County Housing Authority – main office is located in Mellen serving 6 northern Wisconsin counties. They assist people and families who qualify with housing, housing assistance, weatherization, heating assistance, and electric assistance among other things.  They do have some rental property for those who qualify. Check with them to see if there are any openings or to be put on a waiting list.

Land – there are lots available for purchase within the City of Mellen. For more specifics, call Mellen City Hall at 715-274-2136.
