PARTY
There will be a Community Wide Sledding Party to be held on Thursday,
January 26th from 4 to 5:30PM.This event is being hosted by the Digger Center.
There will be a hot chocolate bar following the sledding party. Meet on the
School Playground by Door C.
WELCOME TO NEW PARK SUPERINTENDENT
Please
join the friends of Copper Falls State Park as we welcome our new park
superintendent, Bob Skalitzky, to Copper Falls. We will welcome Bob and his
family at the Morse Town Hall in Mellen on Saturday, January 28, with a 5PM
social hour followed by dinner at 6PM. Jill Crom is supplying the BBQ's and asks
that we all bring a dish to share. Looking forward to a good turnout...call or

CANDLELIGHT SKI AND
SNOWSHOE
Come and enjoy the fun of a candlelight ski or snowshoe on the
groomed trails of Copper Falls State Park. This event is scheduled for February
4th from 6-8PM.
Candle luminaries will light the way.Chili, chili dogs,
treats, hot cocoa will be for sale. Event may be cancelled if temperature is
zero or below. State Park admission sticker required. Sponsored by the Friends

FISHING KING/QUEEN CONTEST
The Mellen rod & Gun Club is looking for
girls/boys(no age limit) to sell tickets for the Annual Ice Fishing Contest to
be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Lake Galilee. The person that sells the
most tickets will receive 10% of their sales, a $50 gift certificate to any
Mellen business of their choice and will be crowned Ms./Mr. Four Seasons. Anyone

Effective immediately, tires must be removed from
all
metal brought into Tri-M for recycling.
items such as bikes, lawn
mowers,
etc., will not be accepted unless the tires are removed.
Tires can be
disposed of for a variable fee; rate is determined by tire size.
PENOKEE MOUNTAIN RANGE CLASSIC BIKE ROAD RACE & Tour
Saturday
REGISTRATION: 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the Mellen Rod and Gun Club a short distance
South of Mellen on Highway 13.
RACE ENTRY FEE: Early registration $35.00 until race day July ?, 2023, then
$45.00 day of race.
AWARDS: plaques/medals for male and female winners. 1st 2nd & 3rd place
in
5 year increments. An award ceremony will be held at the school following
the race. No awards will be mailed.
TIMING: Wisport RJ Ochmann
RACE ROUTE COURSE DESCRIPTION: Approximately 47 miles of paved
roads through the Penokee Range, traversing rolling hills and flat terrain.
Additional services are pace car, 2 sag wagons, and water station.
Ashland
Co. and Mellen Police Depts. helping when and where necessary. Mellen
Ambulances on call.
Lunch after Race TBD.
