A Bake Sale for Cathy Coons will be held on Friday March 29 at Superior Choice Credit Union & Northern State Bank.
Cathy has been having numerous health problems as of late so lets help her out.

LION CLUB MEETING
The Lions Club will meet on Wednesday April 3 at Copper Ridge.
Social hour and meal will begin at 5:30 PM with the meeting to follow.
In attendance will be the District Governor.

MARCH EVENTS AT THE LIBRARY
On March 12 1927 Legion Memorial Library began serving the Mellen Area Community.
Stop by and celebrate with us on Saturday March 16.
The library will be open fron 9:00AM till NooN.
A "CAKE WALK" like game will be played at 10:30.
Cake, coffee and punch will be served.

BOX TOPS


The Mellen school will again be collecting Box Tops for the 2018-2019 school year.
Collection sites include Northland Foods, SCCU, Northern State Bank, Dollar General and the school. Your labels become money to help purchase equipment and supplies for the entire Mellen School.

9th Hour Ski Club


Friends of Copper Falls and Mellen School 9th Hour program are coordinating the 9th year of Ski Club at Copper Falls.
Ski Club is available for any students in grades K-8 and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 PM starting January 15th.
Students will be bussed to and from Copper Falls.
There is still time to sign up, and if you missed the first ski fitting, another 1 will be held before Ski Club begins.

OPEN GYM

The gym will be open at the high school every weekend from noon to 4:00PM.

NOTICE TRI-M SANITARY RECYCLING CUSTOMERS


Effective immediately, tires must be removed from all metal brought into Tri-M for recycling.
items such as bikes, lawn mowers, etc., will not be accepted unless the tires are removed.
Tires can be disposed of for a variable fee; rate is determined by tire size.
Tri-M Sanitary/Recycling will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday Jan. 14, 2019 at 6:15 PM in the office/ conference room at the Tri-M building.

PENOKEE MOUNTAIN RANGE CLASSIC BIKE ROAD RACE & Tour

Saturday July 27, 2019 REGISTRATION: 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the public school entrance off Fayette Ave. in Mellen. RACE ENTRY FEE: Early registration $30.00 until race day July 28, then $35 AWARDS: plaques/medals for male and female winners. 1st 2nd & 3rd place in 5 year increments. An award ceremony will be held at the school following the race. No awards will be mailed. TIMING: Wisport RJ Ochmann RACE ROUTE COURSE DESCRIPTION: Approximately 47 miles of paved roads through the Penokee Range, traversing rolling hills and flat terrain. Additional services are pace car, 2 sag wagons, and water station. Ashland Co. and Mellen Police Depts. helping when and where necessary. Great Divide and Mellen Ambulances on call. School bus on standby for inclement weather. Free lunch after race. MEMORY CAFE

The ADRC of the North will be sponsoring a Memory Cafe every first Thursday of the month from 3:30 to 4:30 PM.
The Memory Cafe is for those who are concerned about memory loss, their care partners and those who are living with early memory loss.
The Cafe will be held at the Senior Center in Mellen
