NOERTHERN AGED TRACTOR SHOW
The Northern Aged iron Tractor and Threshing Show will be held September 21 and 22 at the Northern Aged Iron showgrounds 38565 Stte Hwy 13, south of HighBridge.
There are plenty of events, rides, races planned with refreshments and food for sale, including a pancake breakfast on Sunday, 9;00 AM
There will be demonstrations all day long, an antique equiupment parade both days, along with a flea market and raffle.
A $5.00 button provides admission for both days. Ages 12 and under are free.For any additional information call 715-274-7807.
GEOLOGIC HISTORY AND HIKE AT COPPER FALLS STATE PARK
Join Tom Fitz, Northland College Professor of Geoscienc, who will be at Copper falls State Park on Friday Sept. 20 at 3:00 PM to explore the geology of the Park.
Fitz will provide an overview at the park's pavilion at 3:00 PM followed by a hike on the Doughboy's Trail.
the Program will be held rain or shine, dress appropriately. Children must be accompanied by an adult, no pets please.A state park admission sticker is required.
FALL FESTIVAL AT COPPER FALLS
Mark your calendar for Saturday Sept. 28 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
A special event this year will be a musical tribute from theCCC era presented by Bill Jamerson. He will be performing at noon at the pavilion.
Park admission is free. Come out for all the fun at Copper Falls State Park.
LIBRARY FALL BIZAAR
The Friends of the Library Fall Bazaar is coming up on Saturday Sept. 28th at the library in Mellen from 9;00 AM to noon.
The annual event includes the Quilt Plus Raffle, bake sale, tea table, used book sale and a craft project for the kids.
First prize in the raffle is a beautiful quilt made by Judy Gibson.Also included are many handmade and donated items. If you have donations please drop them off at the library during regular hours.
All proceeds from this fundraiser go to buy books and meet other library needs.

parking area where the North Country Trail crosses the Delta Drummond Road,
approximately 3 miles north of Drummond.

Effective immediately, tires must be removed from
metal brought into Tri-M for recycling.

REGISTRATION: 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the public school entrance off Fayette
Ave. in Mellen.
RACE ENTRY FEE: Early registration $35.00 until race day July 27, then
$40.00 day of race.
AWARDS: plaques/medals for male and female winners. 1st 2nd & 3rd place in
5 year increments. An award ceremony will be held at the school following
the race. No awards will be mailed.

RACE ROUTE COURSE DESCRIPTION: Approximately 47 miles of paved
roads through the Penokee Range, traversing rolling hills and flat terrain.
Additional services are pace car, 2 sag wagons, and water station. Ashland
Co. and Mellen Police Depts. helping when and where necessary. Great Divide
and Mellen Ambulances on call. School bus on standby for inclement weather.
Free lunch after race.
